Flagler Beach Pier

The first Flagler Pier was constructed by a Jacksonville company called Weir and Benson for the amount of $75,000 and measured approx 1,000 feet. This was in 1927. Because of all the storms/hurricanes on the Atlantic Coast several renovations have taken place on this wonderful fishing haven and observation deck. The present length of the pier is a little over 800 feet.

The Flagler Pier is a favorite gathering spot for the local fishermen and tourists alike. If you are in the mood to do a little fishing, you can rent a pole at very reasonable rates..

There is a Bait Shop right there too, where you can avail of the lures and tackle.

The hours of operation vary. Summer Hours are usually between 6AM and 8PM and Winter Hours are 6AM to 6PM. It’s best to call ahead to avoid dissapointment and be sure of the hours of operation. There are certain rules that must be followed while visiting the Flagler Pier. For example: There is no alcohol allowed. The locals, who are a friendly lot and tell lots of fish stories, will point out the type of fish you can catch and other type rules that must be observed while on the Flagler Pier.
